We are honored to have been chosen for the 2019 Barber Conable Award for renovation of the building that now holds the restaurant and Inn. The Landmark Society of Western New York's Barber Conable Award recognizes the rehabilitation of a historic building completed within the last two years.
According to the Landmark Society of Western New York who presented the awards this past November, “This year’s Barber Conable Award recognizes an outstanding rehabilitation project in LeRoy that signifies the owner’s tenacity and commitment to community revitalization.”
After a fire devastated the almost 200-year-old building in 2004, we felt it was important to bring the rich history and beauty of the structure back to life. We purchased the building in 2007 and spent the next 10 years rehabilitating it.
We took care to maintain the details that make the building so unique and special while blending with modern amenities for ultimate comfort. This merge of the old and new allows for a fine dining experience and overnight stay that guests will be sure to remember. We continue to make updates to the building which is exemplified by the recent completion of two additional suites at the Inn; the Gansen and Humphrey suites.
